Day 4. The wedding was a wonderful event! The DJ provided more than enough country music for line dancing, regular dancing and sing alongs! The little ones danced up a storm and the somewhat older ones kept the volunteers at the bar busy all night! The Legion is a great venue in Weyburn and I'm sure it's seen many weddings and celebrations. The dance floor was regularly waxed during the evening and Holly and I did our best to not fall down! We were lucky to have been visited by two dinosaurs that had some pretty amazing dance moves of their own!!!

We were back at the campsite in time to have a fire and sat with Kate while the others came back a little while later. The last time I remember noticing was 2:00am! The weather cooperated perfectly.

Day 5 was the beginning of our trip back to the Island. We left around 11:30am and retraced our tracks to Moose Jaw. We visited with Judy and this time, Glen and Shelley were there as well. Karen joined us and we had a great Chinese meal and enjoyed our time visiting with everyone (thanks Glen and Shelley!). Around 4:30pm, we were on the road and have settled in just past Swift Current in the place we found on our way out. It's a great overnight stop.

Tomorrow, we are off to Cochrane! Some random pics from our time in Weyburn follow:

About our Blog

Our blog is intended to keep our family and friends informed and entertained. We are constantly amazed with the beautiful places we visit with our favourite modes of travel and we want to share them with you.  Our travels are made in a 26' Tollycraft boat named Baywolf, a 1975 VW bus named Vincent, a Triumph Speedmaster named Speedy, our feet and our 16' Pelican canoe (it weighs 85lbs so it has different names depending on if we are paddling or portaging!).  We will document some of the ongoing upgrades and repairs and we will share some of our projects done through our little company, H&R Home and Yard.
