We loaded Baywolf with food and drink and motored the 35 minutes to Burgoyne Bay. We decided to anchor deeper in the bay than we usually do. Friday, August 7 On Friday morning, we left the home dock and motored to our planned objective of Dodd Narrows. We planned to end the day at Newcastle Island off Nanaimo. Dodd Narrows is about 3 hours from home and Nanaimo is about an hour after that (at 6.5 to 7 knots). Dodd Narrows is a narrow restriction between Vancouver Island and Mudge Island.
